Tips for using the Web site
Users can find information by topic or by user. The bar at the top of the page provides the information by topic i.e., road user, roadway, vehicle, laws, and find a ride. To the left, the information is broken down by user. Seniors can find information that pertains to them by clicking on mature drivers at left. A list of available topics and information will appear; move your cursor over the link and click.
The site is also designed so users can increase type size to make viewing easier. To make the type size bigger, press and hold "Ctrl" on your keyboard and press the "+" key (pressing the "+" more than once will continue to make the page larger). To decrease the type size, press and hold "Ctrl" on your keyboard and press the "-" key (pressing the "-" key more than once will continue to make the page smaller.)
To make the site easier to use, a direct link is given for all information or users can go directly to the source site by clicking on the Web site address.
When you use “click here” to access information referenced on the Web site, make sure to use your “back” button on the internet navigation bar to get back to the Iowa Safe and Mobile Seniors Web site.
Note: Sometimes, there will NOT be a "back" button to return you to the Iowa Safe and Mobile Seniors Web site. In those cases, close the current window by clicking on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the current window. A confirmation message will appear asking if you want to close just the current window or if you want to close all windows. Select the "Current window" option and you will be returned to the Iowa Safe and Mobile Seniors Web site.
