Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging's Web site includes information on volunteer transportation options for Iowa counties. Click here and then click on your county to find available transportation options or visit http://www.iowafamilycaregiver.org. Area Agencies on Aging may also be able to provide information on transportation options. To find a listing from the Iowa Department on Aging (IDA) click here or visit http://www.state.ia.us/elderaffairs.

If you know of a volunteer transportation opportunity, click here to send us an email, and we will alert the Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging.

ITNAmerica® (Independent Transportation Network) is a volunteer transportation service designed to replicate the comfort and convenience of private automobile ownership. Seniors who use the service become dues-paying members of the organization at a nominal fee and open personal transportation accounts to pay for their rides. ITN® keeps fares reasonable by asking members to pay roughly half the true cost of providing the rides. To find more information, click here or visit http://www.itnamerica.org.

Currently there is one ITNAmerica program in Iowa, ITNQuadCitiesTM. The initial service area includes Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline and eventually will include all of Scott and Rock Island Counties. For more information, click here or visit http://itnquadcities.org/.

Other resources for volunteer transportation options can be found on the following Web sites.
